Currently, the implementation of the “new national standard” for coolant is imminent, which will provide effective solutions for thermal management issues in new energy vehicles.
On the basis of the “New National Standard”, Zhonggong Gaoyuan (Beijing) Automotive Testing Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Zhonggong Auto Inspection”), a subsidiary of the Highway Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport and the legal entity of the National Automotive Quality Inspection and Testing Center (Beijing Tongzhou), and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Uni President Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Uni President”), have established a joint laboratory for new energy fluids and thermal management fluids. The aim is to continue the consistency and foresight of the “New National Standard” technology route, continuously safeguard the safe development of the new energy vehicle industry, and comprehensively, quickly, and safely solve the concerns of new energy vehicle owners.
It is reported that the opening of the joint laboratory will bring stronger research and development capabilities and more achievements in new energy thermal management fluids to the unified market, bring greater technological advantages to the domestic and global markets for unified competition, and further consolidate the leading position of Chinese new energy vehicle companies in the overseas market, helping independent brands move towards higher levels of competition.
